Last Races of the 2017 Season

Vintage means Variety! The SCCBC’s final event for 2017 was held over the October 14-15 weekend and our Vintage racers hit the track on the Sunday as usual. The weather was perfect for a good grid of Vintage cars plus one special guest, Larry Sandham in his Mini Vauxhall. The Vintage results are available under the Results menu (here). The full results for the weekend are available on the SCCBC web site (here).

Fourth Race Weekend!

The fourth road racing event of the season at the Mission Raceway Park Road Course – The Mission Hospice Charity Weekend – was held over the July 15-16 weekend. The VRCBC’s own Vintage racers took it to the track on the Sunday!

The complete results for the weekend are available on the SCCBC web site (here) and our own results are also posted on this web site under the Race Results menu (here).

As usual, Brent Martin has provided us with a sample of his photos of the Vintage racing – see below. (Thanks Brent.) The rest of his photos of all of the weekend’s action, including Vintage, will be on his web site (here) within a few days. Be sure to check them out.

Several of our VRCBC members went south over the July long weekend to compete in the Pacific Northwest Historics put on by our good friends at SOVREN at Pacific Raceways in Seattle.

Proudly showing ‘our flag’ (well actually our decals) were: Shelby Clark (#37 yellow Alfa), Steve Clark (#260 yellow Elva), Karlo Flores (#59 white Sprite), Paul Haym (#82 orange BMW), Tim Pickstone (#63 green Porsche), Phil Pidcock (#46 blue Spitfire), Gil Stuart (#29 red Volvo), Roger van der Marel (#40 green Alfa), Doug Yip (#782 red Mustang) and Ralph Zbarsky (#130 green MGB GT).

Brent Martin was there and has passed on some of his photos of the action.
