The 40th (wow!) edition of the All British Field Meet (aka “The Greatest Show on British Wheels”) was held on Saturday, May 17th at Vancouver’s beautiful VanDusen Botanical Garden. The weather wasn’t perfect this year – a little damp – a little sunny – actually, it wasn’t very typically British!

This year, the ABFM’s featured marque was that most British car of them all – Rolls Royce – and it also recognized the 40th annniversary of the Westcoast British Motorcycle Owners Club (BMOC). The display of modified classics also returned this year. This is a rapidly growing area of interest with automotive enthusiasts. Check out the ABFM website (here) for all of the information about this year’s event.

The VRCBC was again in its usual spot near the entrance.  Thanks to everyone who stopped by. We always enjoy talking to everyone about our Vintage racing cars, our big BC Historic Motor Races weekend in August, and about all of the road racing activity at the Mission Raceway Park Motorsports Circuit in general. Speaking of which, our next race event is this coming weekend, May 24th and 25th. Hope to see you at the track!

Another big ‘Thank You’ to the ABFM for again providing us with complimentary space. We look forward to seeing you there!
