The SCCBC / CACC 'A Lap Ahead' weekend opened the race season at Mission Raceway Park Road Course on April 13-14. It was a little chilly and damp on the Saturday but just as ordered by the VRCBC's Vintage racers, the weather was beautiful on Sunday. The full weekend results are now available on the SCCBC web site (here) and will also be posted on this web site.

It is the Sports Car Club of BC's 'A Lap Ahead' weekend on April 13-14 at the Mission Raceway Park Road Course. Our VRCBC Vintage racers will be out on the Sunday, April 14. (There is also a SCCBC Practice Day on Friday, April 12.) You can check out some photos of the early bird Vintage registrants below. Everybody will be warming up for the big British Columbia Historic Motor Races (better known as the BCHMR) weekend on May 25-26, also at Mission. The VRCBC had some special visitors at our 2012 BC Historic Motor Races. Les Mathieson and his wife Zonda, Austin Healey enthusiasts from Victoria, Australia dropped by to cheer on our 'Big Healey' racers. They also presented the Club with an Austin Healey Owners Club of Victoria car badge. (Of course, they received a VRCBC car badge in exchange.)

This year's Annual Gala & Banquet was another great success with the usual potpourri of excellent food, 'speeches', serious (and not-so-serious) year-end awards, door prizes and dancing. Congratulations to Paul Haym, this year's REVS Champ and to all of the other award recipients. We look forward to seeing everybody at the track in 2013.
