It wasn't just the racing that was hot at the SCCBC's fourth event of the season over the July 14th - 15th weekend; it was really warm out there!
The Vintage racers were out on the Sunday as usual, with some of the cars (and some drivers too!) showing the effects of the heat. Nevertheless, it was fun. The complete results are available on the CACC #4 Results page on the SCCBC web site (here).
Once again, thanks to Brent Martin for the photos below. You can find all of his albums on his web site (here).
The next Vintage racing at the Mission Raceway Park Road Course will be our very own British Columbia Historic Motor Races on August 17th to 19th! Watch the photos of the entrants grow on the BCHMR web site (here).
We again lucked out with the weather for the season’s third race event at the Mission Raceway Park Road Course on the June 23rd-24th weekend. The complete results for the weekend are available on the SCCBC web site (here).
Thanks to Jim Moody and Brent Martin for the great photos of our Vintage action (see below).
The season's fourth event - the July 14th-15th weekend - will be a 'Vintage Double' with Vintage racing on both the Saturday and the Sunday. This will be the perfect warm-up for the our big annual event, the BC Historic Motor Races, a month later during the August 18th-19th weekend.
Get those entries in! See you at the track!
The second CACC-sanctioned, SCCBC-organized race event of the 2016 season - the Spring Sprint Weekend - was held on April 30 and May 1 at the Mission Raceway Park Road Course. It had the usual two full days of on-track action, including Time Attack on the Saturday and Vintage races on the Sunday.
The complete results are available on the SCCBC web site (here). The Vintage Closed Wheel and the Open Wheel / Sports Racer (with Vintage participants) results are also available under the Race Results menu on this web site (here).
Update: Look below for a sample of Brent Martin's photos of the Vintage action (Thanks Brent!) and then check out his website (here) for all of his motorsport galleries.
The next racing at Mission will be on the June 11-12 weekend. Stay tuned.
